About the event

Have you ever been to a partner dance event for queer women? Neither have we, so we thought we’d make our own!

This is a Sapphic event with a serious Blues dancing problem… What is "Blues" dancing?

It is a sub-genre of swing dancing, characterized by a pulsing style, mixed with other swing dance moves. It's really simple and VERY quick to learn, even when you want to get fancy.

Blues is a great bar dance, perfect for music with a groove or slow, sultry songs made for cuddling. It is highly focused on lead/follow connection and musicality, and it can be danced through a broad spectrum of sexiness, ranging from the polite, stranger-I-just-met open position, to friendly dance-hug, all the way to get-a-room-you-two! close position.

You definitely don’t need to come with a dance partner!
